Skilled Migration Visa

491 Skilled Work Regional visa

Subclass 491 replaces the 489 visa on the 16th of November 2019. It’s originally a temporary visa that may lead to PR. It’s not employer sponsored and requires you to commit to living and working in a regional area.

189 Skilled Independent visa

A permanent visa designed for foreign skilled workers who hold occupations on Australia’s Skilled Occupations List and are not sponsored by an employer or family member, and not nominated by a state or territory (Point tested stream).

190 Skilled Nominated visa

A permanent point-based visa designed for skilled workers who are nominated by a State or Territory government to live and work in Australia permanently after submitting an expression of interest in SkillSelect and receiving a successful Nomination.

485 Temporary Graduate visa

This visa allows you to remain in Australia to live, study or work after you have finished your studies. The visa has two streams: Graduate Work stream and Post-Study Work stream. The length of your stay will depend on which stream you apply for.
